British pies and pastries

That's not quite true TB. They Did finally get issued with a PGI (Protected Geographical Indication). This means that manufacturers who want to call it 'traditional' Cumberland sausage, can only do so, if a member of the scheme. They also need to be based in Cumbria. http://www.defra.gov.uk/news/201...

Bangkok-Chonburi tollway .

I have spotted cameras (I presume they are speed cameras) on the Bangkok-Pattaya Motorway (highway 7) and Kanchanapisek (highway 9) installed for some time now, never spotted anything on the Bangna-Chonburi (Rt 34) Express Way though. Fines, from people that I know have been issued with them, seem t...

I've tried that route, most of them want silly money prices. If you don't have any joy with the local you've found, try the fiver freelance sites: http://fiverr.com/gigs/search?query=logo&x=0&y=0 http://www.fiversworld.com/search?query=logo&x=0&y=0 Both of these sites should be able to provide you ...

external hard drive -help please

If you are hearing a clicking sound, the drive is on it's way out. There is a possible quick fix to recover data though, freeze the drive :) - seriously! http://www.emergingtechs.com/posts/put-your-hard-drive-in-the-freezer-to-recover-data/ I've done this 2 times with broken drives, it worked once b...

Rubber Buyers Loei to Udon Thani Area

I don't follow rubber prices, but what you're getting sounds pretty low.

Here's a couple of websites that may be able to point you in the right direction for buyers and market pricing:
www.irco.biz/Cprices-th.php
www.rubberprice.net/

Good luck!

Turkey Stuffing?

Shado, when I used to purchase Butterball turkeys in the UK, their reps used this (buttermilk basting) as one of their unique selling points, so I presumed it was a worldwide thing. Just checked one downstairs, and it just states that it's 'pre-basted', no idea what with though, so cancel my comment...

Turkey Stuffing?

All white meat and poultry (turkey, chicken and pork) do soften up a little if soaked in milk, it's just an old chefs trick, a bit like pineapple and beef really. Big Al, if you have a Butterball turkey, I wouldn't worry, as it's already basted in Buttermilk. If you have another brand or something l...

It's actually an error message telling us that the error cannot be viewed :).

I think something has broke with the newsfeed source, or the feed format has changed, I'm sure Lee will get it fixed when he knows.

If Bangkok goes under - Thailand Floods

Here's my current take on things: The water would flow better if they just opened up the big bags that are currently blocking the large masses of the water - no doubt about it. The water level is receding in areas - very true, but looking into things, it looks more like the water is just shifting po...

Is there an increase in property crime in Udon?

I also suffered a burglary sometime back in Udon. My office was located in Soi Jamnussorn inside a very quiet Cul De Sac, which was not easy to find, unless you knew it was there. Around me were approximately 11 other houses, all occupied with locals and/or/either farangs. I headed out for a late di...

All that I know of are the events they run in Bang Saen (near Pattaya), they call it the speed festival - loads of modded street cars and a few hot rod style things. I could not find any websites directly related to the event, but there is a bit of info here: http://www.24-7pressrelease.com/press-re...

There are nearly 10,000 factories currently closed in and around Bangkok (http://www.mcot.net/cfcustom/cache_page/285857.html).
