Would You Like Bread With Your Subway, Sir?

It may require a special order in future - but not recommended for those diabetics out there. The Irish Supreme court has ruled that the bread served at Subway – a US sandwich food chain with branches in more than 100 countries – cannot be defined as bread.... .... The bread’s sugar content – five t...

Well spotted DM.

Unfortunately, if you watch this video, it is clear that they were both wearing wires.

Or perhaps, more rationally, neither of them was.

Re: American Hotel Guest / Big Trouble in Koh Chang

Some pretty well deserved slaps of The Thaiger in the comments section of their linked story. If it is the same guy (and there are some doubts raised), how is an offence in the US even remotely relevant to what he is alleged to have done in Thailand? As for Thailand criminalising criticism of a comm...

Re: U.S. Politics

The Biden team should prepare to cancel the next debates but make the announcement public and official only the day before the debate claiming Trump repeated rules violations. Trying to ping the Bloated Orange Bullshitter on rules violations would be a waste of time. He has violated just about ever...

Re: Bangkok protests

After living here for 13+ years, I don't consider myself a "foreigner" - just as I wouldn't consider a migrant/refugee who had lived a lengthy period in Australia to be a "foreigner". It doesn't really matter what you think your 13 + years in Thailand makes you. In the context of this discussion, y...

Well it would appear the so-called Brilliant Businessman and idol of the Republicans has scored a home goal .
On the subject of clap trap, is a home goal similar to an own goal?

Thanks for that, a1.

I am sure will just wash over the consciousness of the adoring Trumplets on here, and elsewhere in the world.

Meanwhile, rational people just shake their heads, and say "you couldn't make this guy up if you were writing a book". :D

Did any of the others call first?
They all called first.
Was the 'missed' drop by a different delivery company to the ones that you received from?
?

There were no missed drops.

I have had a number of Lazada deliveries this week, from different suppliers, and via different couriers. Each has been preceded by an update the the Lazada Order Details page, and included a highlighted link to this page: https://www.lazada.co.th/helpcenter/important-notes-on-delivery-11171.html?sp...

Anyone watched "The Social Dilemma" on Netflix yet?
Yep ..... frightening stuff, particularly with a major election coming up.

Even for those of us who saw the writing on the wall, and rejected Facebook years ago.

Great.... I guess I just wasted 35k on a Visa agent...the Thais government needs to grab a backbone and procecute and enforce the deadline... Losers. Well that changed quickly. Well I had to bite the bullet...used a Visa Agent, and now I have a Retirement Visa no worries till November 2021....

Thinking the same Vince. Same as here, why shut at 12? any more risk or just some halfwit deciding I am the boss. Actually I get the midnight thing here, open air bars and loud music is a bit unfair, you couldn't sleep in my apartment in town until they stopped music at 24.00, it's 1/2 km away from...

Re: Udon Hospital is great!

I had relatively minor surgery (albeit under general anaesthetic) done at Udon General. The surgery ward was modern & clean, and the service was first rate. The price was also 80% cheaper than the ridiculous quote I got from Wattana. So if you can put up with front-of-hospital inefficiency and burea...

This was my question, pipo:
BTW ...... where are you living at the moment? Is everyone (the natives) happy with their lot?
That was the one country I was asking about. Can you answer it?

And for perspective, what is the state of democracy there?

Re: Bangkok protests

I guess at least in a democracy, where the majority is unhappy with their lot, they have the opportunity, and legal right, to change the government - dependant on free and fair elections of course. Such is not the case on many countries, including one close to our current circumstances. Perhaps the ...

I haven't searched extensively, but I am unable to find an online instance of an Aussie jumping off a bungee in his skirt, while blowing his trumpet - and displaying his underwear for all the world to see. :D
