Re: Solar Power

We applied and were approved last time around selling back on the grid. The cost on installation it would take three life times to recover the money. Anything change ? Well, panel prices are down 40-50% since then (2014?) it would seem. Also inverter prices have fallen, but not quite at the same ra...

Re: Cabinet gives the nod to marijuana for medical use

Oh, shame on me Dui, I omitted to put 'And' at the beginning of my first sentence. Although that would have been grammatically incorrect. N'est Pas? Got to soooo careful these days, anyone who isn't 100% positive about Cannabis, gets chastised. Immediately out with the ad hominem attacks. DuiDui ha...

Re: Solar Power

Actually, it looks like the area footprint is not that bad (2X?), so much for my "eye-balling" it. If they could halve the price, they would start looking quite good being that they are 100% DOD batteries with about the same cycle life as flooded lead-acid at 50% DOD. Economies of scale and all that.

Another as-built user opinion shown here...... https://www.solarquotes.com.au/saltwaterbatteries.html https://www.solarquotes.com.au/blog/aquion-salt-water-battery/ 2.5KWh salt-water battery = $2,200 AUS 2.4KWh of flooded lead-acid = $300 AUS (approx?) an apples to oranges comparison perhaps, hopef...

Re: Solar Power

In my very humble opinion, this is an example of what could soon be commonly available on the market; http://aquionenergy.com/technology/deep-cycle-battery/ Interesting, thx. After watching the video, I noticed that those batteries would seem to require at least 5X the area compared to flood lead-a...

General Shaw ( formerly the Commander British forces in Iraq) dares to speak the truth about this supposed Syrian chemical attack.... then after only a few seconds he is shut-down. Re: Proposal of new Affordable Thai Health Insurance

http://www.insurance-in-thailand.com/contact-us/ They have telephone numbers, a GPS location (Phuket), address, map, email, whatever, if you are so concerned just call the number and have a chat with somebody. I'm pretty certain that the details they asked for are so minimal and innocuous, and could...

Re: Proposal of new Affordable Thai Health Insurance

I've spent a fair amount of time in Thai govt. hospitals, mostly helping the inlaws. Is it massively over-crowded, yes. Is there an insufficient amount and old equipment, yes. Waiting for hours and hours, yes. On the other hand, my father-in-law had surgery on an abdominal aortic aneurysm and, from ...

The panels at DoHome are Schutten, good brand.
The two panels I had problems with were Schutten. The super cheap (five years ago) SunTech panels, possibly used (though Amorn insisted they were new... with paint and sticker material etc on them :) have been fine.

Re: Solar Power

With these big retail outlets starting to sell panels and inverters, you'd think something had changed regarding PEA? Are all these people getting the run-around and locked meters as well? Especially as these outlets are selling direct to the public, not necessarily to professional solar installers ...
