Re: Has Trump Bottled it.

General Shaw ( formerly the Commander British forces in Iraq) dares to speak the truth about this supposed Syrian chemical attack.... then after only a few seconds he is shut-down. Same old story... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpdT79rm1ts Look at the little flat he lives in, doesn't he know that...

Re: Proposal of new Affordable Thai Health Insurance

http://www.insurance-in-thailand.com/contact-us/ They have telephone numbers, a GPS location (Phuket), address, map, email, whatever, if you are so concerned just call the number and have a chat with somebody. I'm pretty certain that the details they asked for are so minimal and innocuous, and could...

Re: Proposal of new Affordable Thai Health Insurance

I've spent a fair amount of time in Thai govt. hospitals, mostly helping the inlaws. Is it massively over-crowded, yes. Is there an insufficient amount and old equipment, yes. Waiting for hours and hours, yes. On the other hand, my father-in-law had surgery on an abdominal aortic aneurysm and, from ...

The panels at DoHome are Schutten, good brand.
The two panels I had problems with were Schutten. The super cheap (five years ago) SunTech panels, possibly used (though Amorn insisted they were new... with paint and sticker material etc on them :) have been fine.

Re: Solar Power

With these big retail outlets starting to sell panels and inverters, you'd think something had changed regarding PEA? Are all these people getting the run-around and locked meters as well? Especially as these outlets are selling direct to the public, not necessarily to professional solar installers ...

Highly recommend without reservation. www.kjsolars.com If you have a Thai speaker on your end who knows their stuff, kjsolar certainly knows their stuff; and all can be sorted over the phone so what is promptly delivered to your door is exactly what you need. Re: Ubuntu/Linux: raring to go!

If the OP was satisfied with Windows 10 speed on his system, I'd think that Ubuntu performance would be better than Windows 10, thus he'd still be satisfied. Why direct him into a version of Linux that will probably require a lot more tweaking and has less support info available to him... beginners ...

Re: Ubuntu/Linux: raring to go!

It looks like you have quite a bit of spare disk space. I would just install Ubuntu Desktop in parallel with Windows. When you do an Ubuntu install it will see the Windows OS and give you the option of dual booting . Ubuntu will use about 10-12GB for a basic install if I recall correctly. Ubuntu sho...

Re: Solar Power

bluejets - do you have a reference link for the solar water heater system you mentioned... sorry I couldn't find it on the links you gave? I'm happy to entertain any ideas that can help those of us who can't use all our power during the day and are giving free money to PEA  Thx for the post. On...
