Maybe a glimmer of hope for the future..... ROME (Reuters) The new coronavirus is losing its potency and has become much less lethal, a senior Italian doctor said on Sunday. "In reality the virus clinically no longer exists in Italy " said Dr. Alberto Zangrillo, the head of San Raffaele Hospital in ...

The other one being the Serenity Hotel Onsen and Spa which is 7km from Kabinburi but not out of our way. Rooms are 1,69...

Re: Udon Thani to Chantaburi by road

Thanks for that Tam.It looks very nice and reasonably priced initially for a couple. But when I add the 5 year old in the price shoots up to 16,000 baht for 4 nights ! Chao Lao there's a couple of decent ones... Sand Dunes and Baan Imm Sook resort for about 8,000 baht for 4 nights which is nearer ou...

Udon Thani to Chantaburi by road

I know its not possible now but maybe by July things will have opened up. I,d be interested what would be considered the best route by those that have driven it. I was thinking Udon -Khon Kaen then towards Korat. Then 204-304-33-317 to Chantaburi. It's about 650km so probably an overnight stop. Where...

Re: The lack of evidence lockdowns actually worked is ...

I can see both sides of the argument and it's a very fine dividing line knowing what course to take. I,m 66 now (although I look much younger  ) and have had my day but we have a 5 year old and I have to try to keep going till I,m 85 to get her through university ! :D I dread to think what her ...

Re: English Premier League 2019/20

A few weeks ago the Government stated they wanted the EPL to resume as a morale booster for the country. However a poll conducted showed that it would not boost the morale for over 70% of the country. It is all about money and nothing else. Sorry I can't find the link so hope it doesn't result in a ...

Re: Miscellaneous COVID-19/Corona Virus Discussion, Questions, etc.

79 new cases of Covid 19 reported by South Korea yesterday.
This is the biggest jump in cases since April 5 and is causing concern.
There has been a large increase in cases in the country since lockdown conditions were eased.

Re: Lockdown to end July 1 International Travel to resume

Well a couple of days ago they said that Phuket would not open to tourism till Quarter 4,so not many will be going there from July. I can't see them throwing open the borders with Myanmar, Cambodia, Malaysia and Laos straight away either. More likely they will concentrate on domestic tourism July/Au...

Re: English Premier League 2019/20

What the guy from Stevenage says is absolutely correct. No team should be relegated if they don't get the chance to save themselves. No teams should be relegated anyway because even if leagues were to start up again it's not the same as when it started. eg. no crowds, neutral grounds. At the moment ...

Re: Why Thailand Isn't Reopening to International Tourists Yet

I think if the Thai Government introduces draconian measures for farangs wanting to stay here for a long time all it will do is increase business (and the prices) for visa agents and/or make some farangs disappear off the radar and live here illegally until they are caught. I,d be very wary of visa ...

Re: Border and bar closings

A big danger will be when they open the land borders with Myanmar,Cambodia and Laos.
I doubt if there's much testing gone on in those countries.
