Re: Rolled Steel Roofing with PU Foam

It's complicated because we are not actually in Thailand....(I know...could be a recipe fro disaster....). On the subject of wall construction......what is the difference in cost between Normal Grey blocks (R value 1) and AAC grey blocks (R value 3.25)?

Re: Rolled Steel Roofing with PU Foam

My wife has been advised that the steel roof will have 4mm bonded insulation, which he says is pretty standard. Is that enough? slight slope on roof...so some airflow also. Not sure how to post a photo.

Wall type

I asked about the roof in another post. This concerns the wall construction.

What's the best for insulation? Q-Con block? Red brick? Breeze block (what type of breeze block?
How does the price of each compare m2?

Re: Rolled Steel Roofing with PU Foam

This is an interesting and timely topic, as my wife plans to build a small house for her father. This will be a modern design with angle-pitched roofs made of box profile steel cladding. What is the acceptable insulation depth bonded to the cladding? Both from a heat barrier and rain noise barrier.

Selling a car if not in Thailand

When we left Thailand we left our car with family in Thailand. As our visits will be fewer than we thought we have decided we should sell our car. My question is......how can we do this as obviously we won't be in Thailand to sign any of the paperwork. Is there a way around this? Maybe a Power of At...

I should of course have asked before but my wife had hers done there six months ago and it was 600 baht. When I queried the cost I was told 'it's...

Re: best way for short extension

Well I eventually have my 60-day extension! Cost 1,900 (although they said 2,000 at first) On arrival they insisted there was no problem and yesterday's stamp was valid.....took explanation THREE times and going through each stamp with them before they relented. Re: best way for short extension

Have to come to the defence of sometimewoodworker (if he needs one). I understand what he says completely and thank him for his awareness and assistance here. Posts are very clear to me. When I come to Thailand in the future it would be for 60 days maximum, so won't need long term visa - 60 day exte...
