Man when is it going to cool down?

It has been horribly hot in Vientiane for the last few weeks. This is the hottest Summer I can remember in ten years.

Teaching at Udonpitt or Don Bosco

It is interesting to note that although DB seems to come out top, their remuneration has not changed for over 4-5 years so in fact they are get teachers on the cheap , however they have upped the prices parents pay and increased class sizes, so DB is in a win win situation at the moment. No! Win st...

Yes I have noticed that too. Perhaps people are getting sick of fake democracy and fake PMs and maybe even Voldemort.

"I got to watch the PM do his speech."
I thought Thailand did not have a PM after the coup. Surely you can't mean that general who appointed himself?

Abbott is a lying swine. I have written numerous letters and sent many emails to various ministers and got the standard stock reply. The emasculation of radio Australia is another example of the policies of this appalling government.

Unfortunately the corrupt will remain in power behind the scenes and it has nothing to do with any political party.

My view of the coup is that I see some incredibly corrupt officials being exposed, more huge drug busts than ever before and the freedom to go wherever I want without seeing crazy demonstrations and blocked highways. At this point, why would I wish for a democracy Thai style? If the general finds a...

I struggled to find a thread to post this link in: http://www.nzherald.co.nz/politics/news/article.cfm?c_id=280&objectid=11383297 New Zealand is being urged by the Thai government to revoke the NZ passport held by a wanted Red Shirt who arrived in NZ as a refugee. I guess the Thai government is try...

There's widespread censorship in Thailand since the coup. It isn't a democracy anymore. And the link touches on a very sensitive subject. Some members have been holding their tongues for yonks on the coup because of the strict censorship. Not a democracy any more, what? Thailand has never been a de...

What a silly comment. Of course we will see and have already seen deaths caused by climate change. Remove your head from the sand.

Is Thailand really that different to Lao? My HIGH SCHOOL students are savvy in Excel, can create an acceptable relational database using Codd's laws, understand protocols, and can configure a basic network.

Attitudes such as those expressed by Sakhonnick are quite silly. Clearly it depends on the circumstances and the wishes of the couple.

The only response I cam make is that Thailand wants to destroy its tourist industry. What with the 12 pm closing time, the expulsion of a democratically elected country, Voldemort in the background and now this, I am strongly suggesting that my tourist friends avoid Thailand and go elsewhere.
