Re: An Overview of Thailand's Participation in World War II

because Thais killing Thais was anathema but getting the KMT Chinese to do it with promises of Thai citizenship was fine... The BKK Post has done a number of stories over the year of the ethnically Chinese villages in northern Thailand that originated from the KMT..

2030 hours and AQI on Air Visual for Udon Thani showing 157.. Outside my house I can see the smoke haze in the air and smell the stench of burning.. All with government bans of field burning and threats of fines.. I hope the application of various edicts on the COVID-19 virus infections are implemen...

Re: Blowing into a breathalyzer that was blown into by hundreds of others

I saw a segment on the Thai early morning news the other day showing cops stopping people for a breathalyzer check and giving them a big straw to blow through into the machine.. Yeah, a big straw like you'd get in a bubble tea.. Don't know if that would impact on the ability of the machine to to its...

likely a high air pressure 1012 at 11:14 today, low winds around 5kph and naturally probably cane fields still burning.. The previous focus on high AQI has completely gone by the wayside in the stamped to cover the COVID-19 potential outbreaks.. Just pray that the predictions of rain next week give ...

oh he extolled the speed in which you could get from Udon to Bangkok 20 years ago.. That was towards the end of the Thai recession when there were minimal vehicles on the road and millions less vehicles than today. There also were no Thai Police with radar or speed traps every 50-60km.. You could dr...

Re: Savannakhet by car

you'll need the purple book and an insurance rider/sticker for liability coverage in Laos.. I'd say it would be easier to park in a paid lot on the Thai side and take the bus across.. I'd only take my vehicle across if I was planning a trip throughout Laos for a few days.. Not worth the hassle overa...

ya gotta wonder why other brand name air purifiers are in excess of 12,000 baht and brand name HEPA filters for them got for 1500-2000 baht.. Is this a "get what you pay for" type of quality??? 1,299 baht seems extremely cheap...

potential vaccine for COVID-19. Saw the company CEO interviewed yesterday on Stateside news. He said if the FDA/CDC expedites animal and then human testing perhaps a vaccine "could be out in 2020" as opposed to going through the "normal" process which might take 18 months.. https://thehill.com/chang...
