I am under the impression that their website has been closed due to some trade mark infringements or something, so it seems that they have a bit to sort out in the short term.

As for being spam, well, yes it is, as you've promoted the site using your affiliate ID, perhaps offering members a direct link to the site (minus affiliate code) followed by another link (with your aff code) then it would be up to the members to decide whether or not you deserve the commission ;).

But I will leave the final decision for Lee.

So for the time being, here is the direct link where you will see that the site is closed (for now) :

http://www.xscapecard.com/index.php

I will also like to state that a number of scams have been run using similar methods in the past, albeit I certainly hope that this one does not develop into one, but please be careful before parting with any of your hard earned pennies...

Just my thoughts....

If I have unwittingly broken the rules then I apologise to the membership unreservedly.

However BangkokButcher I would like to know where you got your information from that the site 'has been closed due to some trade mark infringements or something' Is the emphasis on 'or something' ie Website Under Construction
Please Come Again Later.
Just my thoughts also.

PS. Mods. if you wish to delete please go ahead.

Firstly, I am a cynical bas*ard. No question about that. I will never deny that.

Secondly, I spent a number of years in law enforcement. I know a scam - <b>not spam</b> - but a <B>SCAM</B> when I see one. This is a <SCAM</B> and a very poorly run one at that.

If you folks want a beakdown - word for word and paragraph for paragraph, I will give it to you. It will be a lengthy post - and really not worth the time and effort.

If you think it is <b>spam</b> from your own initial observations then in all probability it is a <b>scam</b>.

Those of you that know me, will no doubt attest to the fact that I tell it like I see it, without any reservations at all. I do it in writing on this forum - as well in person. That is what makes me so unlikable - but still loveable. :D

Travel Money Card

Postby ttom » March 12, 2007, 3:47 am

Coming soon. It's in fact a pre-paid eVisa Card with PIN code and works everywhere VISA works. Applying is easy.

Just send the card to the money receiver and PIN code after the card has arrived. If card has arrived, pay the amount needed for transfer in and after two days all of it is availible.

Cheap, easy, and safe.

Someone mentioned PayPal earlier. I read on another forum that their debit card was accepted in Thai ATM's and only charged $1 per transaction so I got one and confirm it works well. I also signed up for a second one (on same account) but with the Thai girlfriends name so she can take care of rent and bills while I am off fossicking. She can pull cash from the ATM or use it to purchase stuff as it's in her name. I can top up the account and monitor activity online. It has set daily ATM withdrawal and cash purchase limits and it's NOT linked for auto top-up so if the card gets nicked or she goes tropo (again), I can stop the bleeding quickly.

I second that.

I was screwed by Paypal a while back; I won't go into all the details but involved loosing over ฃ300 with them for something that wasn't my fault. Unfortunately Paypal have a monopoly on the internet, especially if you're using eBay. After personal experience dealing with their customer support I get the impression that they don

Visa Prepaid & Gift Card

Postby ttom » March 12, 2007, 5:23 pm

Works everywhere around the globe ecept Cuba and (most of) Iran.

This card is reloadable.

Further details: usa.visa.com

Check for Prepaid & Gift cards

If you ned to send large amounts, it might be wwise to use several cards.

Money order is a good alternative but costly and can take up to three weeks. Western Union, Moneygram are prety expensive and uses often lousy exchange rates.

Moneybookers.com is also a good alternative to PayPal.

Unfortunately Paypal have a monopoly on the internet, especially if you're using eBay. After personal experience dealing with their customer support I get the impression that they don’t give a damn about their long-term customers. I'm hoping Google checkout will be a success and give Paypal some much needed competition.

Just remembered my logon!!

Anyway, regards PayPal. The girlfriend is now my wife and PayPal hasn't missed a beat since my last post almost a year ago. I still top up the account and she withdraws from the ATM, paying for the builders and labourers at the new place. I use mine for online purchases, she sometimes uses hers for dinner and plane tickets. I also use mine for paying my personal assistant in Houston and she takes care of my bills over there. One account, 2 bits of plastic, easy!

I think after an admittedly shaky start, especially related to eBay purchases, they have gotten their act together and seem very reliable.
