No as it adds to the cost of the bar and beer prices will rise again, defeating my reason for buying long necks

Trubrit
I have voted " Shirt lifters" Not that is my opinion but the other alternatives definitely weren't. But I must admit to wondering why some drinkers put copious amounts of ice in any beverage .

I voted Cheap Charlie. If it has a alcohol content i will drink it !
The reason i have copios amounts of ice in a beer in the day. Is because it is hot in Thailand and i may want a ice cold beer that will not get me drunk, as i may have other things to do in the afternoon.
Small beers get drunk in the evening when relaxing after another hot day.
When in Wales. Only drink pints. Not a bit of ice in site.
Chears to you all (with our without ice)

Having ice in beer is akin to having a sandwich short of a picnic! It reminds me of Mad Dogs and Englishmen in the midday sun [-X It's just not on! However, having ice around beer bottles/cans is a good thing :D

Hence .... have an esky (or similar receptacle such as a tub/sink/bath) ..... put ice in esky ..... put bottles/cans containing beer in the ice that is in the esky .... drink cold beer :D with the bottle/can insulated against a warm/hot temperature..... if the beer gets warmish then maybe you are powdering and should be drinking a soft drink or a nice cup of tea. :-"

Drinking warm beer is short the full picnic.

You can't always choose the temperature of your beer when you buy it - and I will continue to use ice if the beer is not sufficiently chilled (particularly in the midday sun). :-"

Hi,
Ice in a single malt, Help. And no, ice does not reduce the alcohol content of a beer or single malt but it does take away that lovely taste. If you put ice in it, buy the cheapest stuff, as you are not worried about taste. Like buying a expensive brandy and putting coke in it.
By the way the Japs. invented a very good small device many years ago. Place your bottle in it and it chilled your beer etc. in 20secs. Have not seen any on sale in Udon, but not been looking. Most big shops, back home, have a similar thing for chilling your white wine. Works on the same principle. Also if you are a slow drinker you can easily rechill it.
