LA you cant keep blaming those little itches on the water, Ree was not born yesterday

i don't mind those, they get scratched softly, it's the ones i have to scratch, and no happy ending, sometimes a bit brutal, break the skin, look like damn mozzie bites on ankle. maybe the city will keep putting some chlorine in, though they be gone soon anyway, 3 week school break coming up, so out of town, i hope.

LA while in Tesco Lotus today I stopped by the water treatment shop and inquired about treating just water for showers they have they will install it for total price quoted me was 15K I believe if we shopped around we could find it cheaper I to have found area on my body that itch and will not go away namely my groin area
it was worse in Jomitien now it much better since I am treating my water with chlorine except when I am in town then I am at the mercy of what ever comes out of the tap

Would anti bacterial soap work ? or use some of that "snake brand" anti bacterial talcum powder.
Don't know about the cost of a domestic install in LOL but we use an in line ultra violet filter system in the water supply.

need to dry the babies off a little better and fan dry before putting drawers on

hmm, 15k, think i'll take a week in phuket for that. chlorine in pool and salt water/ph should be clear in day or two. i was thinking of just adding chlorine to water tanks, have filter for drinking water, takes everything out. now to find chlorine, if they stop adding again. keep my nose peeled next time i fill the tanks, see if they are flush with money.

Just a thought about maintaining clorine level in your water, what about floating a clorine tablet in the supply tank? Same as the tablets for clorinating pools. If one tablet is to much for the size of the tank, you could cut it in half or even quarters. Also, with the use of a pool water test kit, you could monitor the levels at the tap. :-k

farang1 go for it your not drinking the water and it sure will not hurt you and when you brush your teeth
you can rinse with out fear of the water being contaminated with bacteria just drop the chlorine tablet in the tank and forget about it your water will be safe for showering

Yeah, I wasn't going to drink it. Been there, done that..... I was out at the village where my wife was treaching the day before I was to fly out. I was offered some bottled water to drink. Turned out to be re-bottled water. Not a good thing to have the trots when your about to get on a plane.

As far as the clorinating, if there is someone knew more about the "technical' aspects of the tablets. If the tablets would desolve too fast and cause super clorination much like dumping a bottle of bleach in the tank. Or, if they would be a little more timed release. Clorine, being a corrosive, will eat the metal in the plumbing if the concentration is kept high, not to mention skin irritation. Wazza mentioned a clorine level of about 3-5ppm would be enough to kill the bugs but, wouldn't be high enough concentration to cause the itchy-scratches. If I read it right. And the tablets might be a little more convenient. Just a thought.

That's rather myopic of you LeeR, some people aren't as technically minded as you or I.
