Skype in Udon Thani

Does anyone have skype in Udon if so does it work okay, Just installed it in Australia will be coming up in the new year to Udon, any feedback would be appreciated.

SKYPE.... I have been using skype for 2 years and it works fine,I speak with friends and family back in Canada almost on a daily basis.

Installed Skype for the Mac last night because I got tired of the Windows Live idiosyncrasies. Absolutely the easiest install ever: download, drag and drop, done, and worked fine right out of the box. Did a 1 hour video call with no issues whatsoever. Audio was strong and stable, and video was quick enough that it was not choppy except a couple of times...

This is based on minimal (1) use, but if it is like this all of the time, I will be quite happy with it.

Skype is only relying on your internet connection.
3G is not too prefere if you want too use Skype, it's way too slow in this country, but adsl of 1Mbit and up would give you no problems

Been using Skype for the last 3 yrs in regular contact with friends & family in the UK. No problems whatsoever.

Bubbles, if you are in Udon and have an ok connection, no problem.
When in a small village and using GPRS, no way. Skype does not support GPRS and certainly not Thai GPRS.

Using both 6 Mb/s service on both 3BB and TOT, Skype was pure cr@p for most of this year, only getting better in recent months. Now, computer-to-computer is ok for about 50% of calls. Computer-to-landline is of poor quality.

Same as Rickfarang. On 3BB 6 mb service, my Skype just doesn't work. Do not know why, because it used to work about 25% of the time on mobile internet, same computer, even though that was much slower; never more than 100 kbps. For everything else like browsing, youtube 3BB is fine - unlike mobile internet when i gave up even looking at photos online.
