Son & dad ; dad's marry a young thai bride (video)

Postby DeNuit » July 8, 2009, 12:59 am

An excellent video about relationship between a son and his dad ; the dad marry a young thai bride.

http://www.vimeo.com/1314479

Don't know if I will marry a thai bride one day, but I found the relationship between son & dad about it quite interesting... maybe because my boy is 19 and self-reliant nowdays and I am 41 and not with his mom anymore... maybe because I like thai women... well... who knows what tomorrow is made of ?... anyway, a good video.

(ps : I put the video in the search system and didn't find it here on the forum ; if it has been posted before sorry about the double posting)

Good find DeNuit, Very Good Docu/Short Film, he(dad) was laid back..and why not, he seemed to be having a good time doing what he wanted, Fantastic place to build too, She was a bit scary and all thoughts where going through my mind, admits she was'nt attracted to him, and if he had no cash they wouldn't be together, Nice Tatt she got to...wonder if they stay together..... :-k
The Film maker (son) will do well.....the vid is well worth watching all 28 minutes worth.

Yep BM, she is a bit "scary" but at least she is honnest. As she said she is with him because he was nice to her and had money and because her familly comes first (her parents and her two kids). As for staying together long time yep, no idea.

I first saw that a few weeks ago. I saw the red flags go up when she stressed that her job in the bar was SERVING... :^o

Well, folks can change. Maybe she did.

But she was honest about him, her, and his money. He says he is now part of the village (or did he say tribe?). I hope he is. If so, what a nice peaceful life. But I have to wonder what everyone in the village says when he is not listening or understanding what they say.

What ever the "serving" included (or not), she did the necessary to be able to take care of her parents and her two kids most probably ; as she said, taking care of her familly is a priority for her. If her new husband take good care of her and her familly, their "partnership" could be working out ok for both husband and wife.

Is it important what she was doing when they met? From what I heard, not to him =D>

As far as the village is concerned, if he is not listening, or doesn't understand, WTF does it matter what they are saying?

I would imagine that he (and all of us for that matter) would have more on our minds than what the local village gossip may be.

Or perhaps (for some), not.

Feel free to leave your pre-conceived notions and prejudices at home =D>

Just a point and not a criticism... it went from 'he didn't take me for sex' like other customers he took me out for dinner...then it was serving,...Anyway he was well laid back 'man'....so what ever happens happens i reckon....sure he will move on if it did all crash around him...still not sure about her though... :snide: i think she was pi$$ed when she was having a pop at his son and started hitting him.

Couldn't help noticing the almost permanent glass of alcohol in his hand. Wonder how many of us take comfort from the bottle.

Almost Permanant...and comfort from the bottle...Do you mean he is an alcoholic..???

The first 10 minutes of the film he had 1 glass of beer whilst sitting down chatting in the evening.....

Between 10-20 minutes....he had a beer with his dinner, then two film scenes he was seen with a drink(evening)....

Between 20 and 28 minutes....he had a drink at his wedding..

Not really 'almost permanant'......whilst he looked like he liked to sup a few beers in the evening, i would'nt say he almost permanently had a drink in his hand.

After watching again..i still wouldn't trust her... :snide:

I like him,And he reminded me of Keith Floyd.

I don't know BM about not trusting her. She has a hard shell yes, but that's natural after having work in the "serving" business wouldn't you say ? She will probably be the one "wearing the pants" (as we say in France) in the couple. But at the end, when the son is saying goodbye to the thai part of the familly and says "nice to meet you, all to be familly together" she is overcome with joy and has a tear in front of her parents and kids and everyone... seems to me that she does feel then, deep inside, that she has now a new familly. And since familly comes first for her, well, could work out ok.
