Specialist Bicycle Shop in Udon?

Postby patriot » April 3, 2008, 4:28 pm

Is there a specialist bike shop in or around Udon? I haven't seemed to have come across one.

Thanks

If you are referring to a bicycle shop as opposed to a motor bike shop, there is one on the corner of the traffic lights just up from Molly Malones. Map reference:-O10.

The shop mainly sells LA bicycles, a Thai brand.
Not bad I have one myself, a 21 geared mountain bike. I'm very happy with it, it propels my fat frame around the Nong Prajak circuit with ease.

Mssrs PRENDERS88 & GALEE.
Found the place today and is EXACTLY what I was looking for, the fellow in there was helpful to the extreme.
You'll probably see me around, bent over, watched cautiously by a perplexed Buffalo, trying to fix a puncture
Thanks again

On the junction of Soi Adunyadet Road, and Wattana Nuwong Road.
Got a big a big LA Bicycles sign above the door, and rows of bicycles outside.
I'm very happy with my bike, well made, and for the price you get a lot of bang for your buck.

That shop is now, sadly, closed down.

Anyone know of another shop around town?

He was open today, went past and saw the guy servicing someones bike. (This morning 5th May)
Last week I had my bike serviced and bought a upgrade part that can move the handlebars 60 decrees up or down, and a water bottle holder. He was closed for a day last week because of the sewer replacement along the road.

Went past today and it was all closed up - not a bicycle or person in sight.

I will check it out tomorrow.

Nick,
At the corner of Adunyadet and Prajak....across from the big beer distributor and the old Thai Farmer's Bank (now Kasikorn). Ask for Peter.....he speaks excellent English. He carries a wide line of bikes/parts. I get my mountain bike tuned up there every few months for 50-100 baht. Always happy with the service.

Yes, you're right. Finally went and it was open.

BTW, does anyone know where I can get a bike-rack from (for my car)?

Cheers.
