Spot cancer early.

I was working in Charing Cross in London tonight, and a 59 year old lady had a bad fall on the steps from Strand to London underground. We got an ambulance for her because she had a bad cut to her head. On investigation, she was receiving treatment for both breast cancer and a brain tumour. She was taken to hospital, but her fall not too serious despite a large loss of blood. It made me think of a link i got recently regarding cancer, and i think it may be useful to forum members. Good Idea Phil, I just had one removed from my nose on monday now look like frankenstien ( no change there ) but if I had spotted the signs earlier perhaps I would not have 16 stitches in my bugle.

Protection is the only way to go even if you don't have fair skin like myself, I think the UK needs a big gov ad campaign for everyones sake.

Sorry to read of your skin cancer Ter. At least it has been successfully removed, and in time the wound will heal too. I think it is best to be aware as to possible early signs of cancers, and the cancer research UK site, plus the Aussie link from wazza, certainly give a lot of info towards that end.
