Depends on make & model, but it can be found at Tesco, Big C, and Homepro. Global only carries the heavy duty stuff for gas powered machines.

What has a strimmer got to do with "Relationships", unless you are wanting to cut back your relationship??

I'll move this to the "Shopping Forum".

Go to the center circle, take the road toward Makro, about 100-150meters past the circle, on the right hand side you'll see a number of shops that sell trimmers, lawnmowers, etc. The third or fourth shop in that line is the biggest shop and they carry the string.

My recommendation is to get the cheap one at Tesco. The Black & Decker trimmers are more expensive and not worth it in my opinion.

Mortiboy, yes the topic correctly says Strimmer, but you had posted it in the Relationships Forum. I have since moved it to the correct "Shopping Forum".

If you run out of strimmer cable Don't use a metal blade that has been adapted to fit the strimmer...it can fly off whilst in motion, imagine Helicopter Blades that come loose and fly off in any direction.(only a smaller scale)...and if you do intend on using something like this make sure you got health insurance and don't wear flip-flops when cutting the grass.

The broken blade that flew off at speed..

2 times a month, a group of thais cut our grass and maintain our garden.

They use the Black and deckers, but not electric, but with petrol engine.

I noticed that they change the blades when they cut the grass next to our outside walls.

They cut these blades themselves out of plastic, yes hard plastic.
A very clever trick,
they cut a blade out of old plastic oil containers.

This way when they hit the wall by accident, the blades are not broken right away, and when they are, they throw them away and make a new one.

Also they don't damage the wall as bad when they hit the wall with the plastic blades. They also go around the trees with these plastic blades.

This again shows how inventive thai can be (from time to time
:D :D ) or if they want to :D :D

So BM, perhaps you can try it out and cut a blade out of some rigid plastic....
don't forget the insurance :D :D
