suggestion in re-naming a main subforum?

Postby ting_tong » January 27, 2012, 9:49 am

General Udon Thani Forum
General Udon Thani topics only!

to:
Udon thani topics only!
General topics pretaining to UdonThani.

There are guys that cant read and post non Udonthani stuff in the first subforum, some of them repeatedly do this and are un aware that some people are not interested in: their home country's news, politics, religion, and misc off topics.
Some of the misc off topics still active.

suggestion in re-naming a main subforum?

Yes that forum is often used for general topics rather than general Udon topics. I just had a quick look and gave it a little spring clean. I'll look into editing the title a little later. Thanks for the suggestion.

suggestion in re-naming a main subforum?

Postby BobHelm » January 27, 2012, 10:16 am

I will agree that posting in the wrong part of the Forum is annoying. Not only for current readership, but also for anybody searching for information in the future.

I know that some of the members do highlight threads through the 'Report' function that are clearly in the wrong place & I would urge everybody to do that.
It is a pretty easy & straightforward task for the moderation team to move complete threads from one part of the Forum to another. It is sometimes not quite so easy for us to spot that they are in the wrong place & so need moving. That can depend how you 'view' the Forum.

Yes, searching previous topics can be a real effort. Sometimes the post(s) you are looking for pops up in the most unlikely thread or can never be found. A lot of fruitless time can be spent looking.
