Sunday 24th July - interviews for civil service vacancies

Postby trubrit » July 19, 2011, 2:16 pm

Just a heads up . This coming Sunday interviews and tests are taking place in Udon for civil service vacancies . It is expected that there will be at least 50,000 applicants for the jobs descending on the town . My advice is avoid the center unless it is absolutely necessary .

Am sure I read somewhere that Chelsea are playing Thailandallstars on the same day, would that also be a heads up to avoid the centre of town if groups of Chelsea supporters are roaming around to find a bar that is showing the game :-k

That would be only one tuk tuk, the one I mentioned would likely be 100's of pick ups .

I believe the game is being shown on Channel 3.

I'll be in Bangkok and will be going to the game.
Then repair to Soi Cowboy, Sunday and Monday.

this game must be to do with Taksins new idea to be like Nelson Mandela, and heal the country's divide using football..

Nothing to do with Taksin or Nelson Mandela, it's a three game tour Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Thailand as part of Chelsea's Asian tour. An opportunity for the Chelsea fans in Asia to see their heroes live.

Okay I finally get the message. No one apart from Stan is interested in news from Udon. Thats it. Wonder why the mods didn't transfer the off topic to the sports page . :-"

You obviously don't understand. I posted a serious heads up to warn members of travellng in Udon this Sunday. Whilst the first comment about Chelsea supporters was humorous, in fact I replied in the same vein, the subsequent posts took the topic far away from the original to the extent that it made the heads up of no consequence . Well I am not paid to share the info I get and if it isn't appreciated then stuff it, get on with the off topic postings. If the mods don't care , I certainly don't .

snit - Noun 1. snit - a state of agitated irritation; "he was in a snit"

Off-topic posts, regrettably, come with the territory. I would like to add that I appreciate the heads-up, since we often go to UT for dinners on Sundays.

Still, really, no need to be 'noi jai' here. You posted to be helpful, not to garner praise, right? We, the silent majority (at least by weight), thank you.
