Utd supporter here also. Good start to the season and is Berbatov actually going to come good this season? I bloody hope so!

What i do find worrying though is Rooney, 6 games now for UTD without a goal and 7 games for England! And if i could say he was playing well and not scoring goals well that wouldnt be a problem but hes playing crap!

Your thoughts

Rooneys not been the same player since he injured his ankle against Bayern Munich in March which ultimately cost us the Premiership and,possibly,a place in the Champions League semi finals.
He'll come good again,eventually....a World Class player doesnt just lose it.
But a big bonus for United is that Berbatov has started the season well and Hernandez seems to be settling in nicely.
Paul Scholes,man of the match last night and a goal from Giggsy.What will happen when those two and Van der Saar finally retire ?

I hope you are right about the Roo! you make a good point about a world class player not losing it! Paul Scholes was man of the match last night and Giggsy well what can i say still scoring goals at 35 or 36 years old! Im not too worried about scholes and Giggsy retiring as they only play 10 or 11 games a season now each. Theres Talk of ferfuson coming in for Shay Given. Given is not happy about the fact that Joe Hart is goint o be the no. 1 for city this season. My feeling is Given will go to Arsenal though. Celtic are also in for him but if Given went there I think it would be a mistake. He went to City to win Trophys as he doesnt have any medals through what has been a very distingushed career and if he goes to Celtic the best he can hope for in a medal for winning the scottish league. Given that there are only 2 real contenders for that title every year its not much of a stretch for him!

Anyway here's to Utd winning the Prem this year, looking good so far and with the signing of Hernandez and Bebe they now have plenty of options up front that they didnt have last year becasue of the disastrous mistake of letting a great honest player going to their city rivals!

Yes Ferguson signed bebe, done deal hes already there. I think he came from Porto. Hes an up and coming star and ferguson signed him on his ex assistant managers word

He might get a run out sooner than he expected if Rooney does'nt pull his finger out.

Well id say hernandez is ahead of him in the pecking order. Hernandez already scored in the charity shield and he has more experience. However I think the roo might need a bit of a break which will take the pressure off him. It would really be nice to see Berbatov coming good though. 25 million and hes been crap so far but there are signs that he may do a good Job this season

Giggsy, the only player to score in every season of the EPL since its formation. Just wish he'd opted to play for England after his under-21 stint instead of Wales.

Not a Man U supporter myself, (perish the thought), but appreciate good loyal players and Giigs and Scholes have been great for the club, Scholes just seems to get better with age IMO.
