I remembered this post, and in my travels can upon a sign (Taekwondo) and I think its the same. So if you want to check it out, from say city lodge go pass the road to the complex and at the light, (some road as german rest or king kong, or that beer dist), bang a left and on the left about 3 or 4 doors in with a large sign over the doorway, think its same.

The above post is an almost perfect example of why I do not post anymore, I cannot be arsed to moderate this anymore, and look with despair at the newbies in thailand who will not accept well meant advice (because they don't distinguish between the barfly sexpats and others)

Ohhh bye the bye..hello Ray(23) and others who have got brain atop their shoulders

I think he was mostly directing his comments to me Oldfield..at the time we were all having so much trouble associated with falaang alley I thought I would add just a little humorous comment....no offence intended.

Your funny reply was much appreciated and made me smile...

maybe yorkman is on his period?

On a more serious note, being an ex boxer myself I find it amazing that Udon does not have a training camp or boxing ring? I know that you will find a couple in Nongkhai and you would be allowed to train there. As for Taekwondo this is becoming very popular now in Thailand and I would not be surprised if one of the larger colleges have a class, or plan to open one...

If not I am sure they would advise where the nearest one is located...

BB Resort has a small gym with a boxing bag, pads, mits, mixed weights, swimming pool etc...Soon to be re-furbished with newer equipment.

I liked your quote about life. 'If you take life so seriously, you need to get one'

brilliant

Thanks monkeyman, I didn't see anything so bad in (y)our comments. In fact I have seen much much worse. Maybe the guy loves Falang Alley and hates to see anything negative about it.

Anyway, I'm off to BB to check out their gym.

Thanks for the info. and thanks for making me laugh too.

It's been mentioned before, but try the Sports College. They have a boxing ring. I imagine they have martial arts. They have an outdoor track, soocer field, swimming pool, tennis courts, golf, etc. The facilities are not the best, but the price is right.

Don Frye Vs. Takayama

Postby Garnet » December 23, 2006, 5:11 am

This must have been quite the fight to have watched ringside! I'd don't follow this kind of thing, so I've never heard of either fighter, but they sure went at it with amazing gusto!
