Teachers Bonus.

Should be some smiling faces around Udon . The government employed teachers have just received their annual bonus . This year its been the highest ever, ranging from 100-200k each, depending on seniority and length of service .So if they haven't already spent it by borrowing in advance, plenty of shopping and partying going on .

A teacher friend of mine has been test driving new cars for the past month.

Guess a good weekend to stay away from any kind of shopping venues.
God forbid any of these teachers should put their bonuses into a college fund for their childrens future .
Guess after 11 years living in Thailand, I'm still have idealistic values.

Wow ,I think that is more than some of the newr teachers salaries for the year!What is the bonus for?

I asked my missus cos shes got two sisters both teachers apparently its a yearly performance related bonus (HA HA), not all teachers get it and they have to make a paper like a book or exam and this helps them in the future for promotions up the teaching ladder ........ make of that what you wish cos im still no wiser what the hell she talking about , her siss got 170 k !! and she still had a face like a kipper spinster (sad)

Would you believe me if I said for raising the education level of the students? No . Didn't think you would I would think it would be for achieving pass targets. Which would account for the low failure rate .

Slightly off topic but our lasses siss is in her 50's a teacher , a spinster , never had a boyfriend , never had a shag , never been outside of Thailand and whats more never wants to do any of the above in the future - im assuming shes not a biology or geograghy teacher !! probably why she always looks so bloody miserable , i have a pet name for her but as this is a family forum i dont wish to tell

For the AFL Grandfinal weekend I was hanging with a Collingwood supporter (Sshh) who happened to be a teacher somewhere. He was telling me that he was talking to another teacher about the upcoming parent / teacher meetings and how he was going to give it straight and salivating at the fact. The other teacher looked at him with a look of horror. You can't do that, you have to tell them what they want to hear.

More than half his class never turned up but he had to say they were doing really well. He was'nt happy.

Wonder if he gets a bonus.
