The police have in custody a 14 year old teenager accused of killing his own Grandfather, 63 years old, Mr. Kum Puttasen. Mr.Kum's body was found chopped into small pieces, and his head burnt in a fire. The incident happened on the evening of 13th December 2009.
Early in the morning on 17th December local villagers found 2 suspicious bags floating in the Huaykum river so they informed the police. The police went to investigate. They found a human body chopped in small pieces but no head.
Not far from the body remains they found the burnt head amongst ashes, the remains were identified as Mr. Kum Puttasen.
Later the grandson confessed to killing his Grandfather because of his anger. He asked his Grandfather if he could use the motorbike to go to Tungsrimuang festival. When his Grandfather refused he attacked and killed him with an axe. He then chopped up the body, dropped it into the river, and burned the head in a fire. Moreover he took the victim 's 1 baht gold necklace and sold it at the gold shop for 15,000 baht. He has no money left over now because he spent everything on drink at Tungsrimuang festival already.
The teenager is too young to go to jail so he will be sent to a young offenders institute.
