Thai boarding Schools

Any comments about Thai boarding schools for elementary and Jr high kids. We had bad luck with a school in Bangkok, but wonderful work with a school in Chaing mai.

Only that if I could afford it I'd send my step-son

i asked about st mary's, quoted 16000 a month, and think just for room and board. school is about 10-15000 a year. this is an all girls school.

For full service, school,homework, sleeping,eating, books and clothes;
just abouth 50.000 bhy. a year.

Well, we sent a 9yo (from the states) to siam international in Bangkok, the school sounded good and spoke well of themselves, but in reality were very unprepared to handle a child that young- He ran wild as supervision was very minimal.
We moved him to American Pacific in Chaing Mai - They have been so good with him and are geared for kids of all ages, with seperate dorms(houses) for kids by age group. The campus is spacious and well equipped and they really work with each child as an individual.
The first year at a school will be a little more expensive due to registration fee's, etc. but his next year, 7 day boarding is about 15K ($) a year plus some extra for a few extra programs during normal school breaks that are not worth flying him back to the states for

I send my children in Harrow International School. About 1/3 of the kids in secondary school are boarders. They didn't seem so isolated from the rest of the world. They looked more like kids sharing apartment units, going to school in the city.
