Thai Embassy Vientiane

I was told last night - by someone who had just come back from a visit to Vientiane - that Thailand has now opened a new Embassy there. I gather it is about 2kms from the old one, but I have no idea in which direction.
Has anyone else heard/can confirm if it is true & if so its' location???

I gathered that the new venue had not speeded up the process, which is a pity...

They moved last week. Bob. No, apparently the process is still appallingly slow and the waiting conditions little better. They don't try to make things easy, do they?
