So Nick something to say?

I'm looking too, to have some beginner Thai lesson in Udon Thani for the next year(January-February).
To be cheap it's nice but the teacher should be qualified.
Ready to spend 5k or up to 10k for one month.

One of things is, it is very hard to find the right level to teach at in these classes, Your right she is pretty, Should have stuck it out. It's a very long process and not easy, the harder you work the n more you get from the class. My memory is terrible so I had to go beyond just speech. But others seem to grasp it instantly.

In the three years I have been trying I have yet to see a course plan available to teachers, here in Udon. You might find something like that in Bangkok I don't know. They pretty much have to punt, You can go to University and learn to teach english. But a program to teach farangs Thai I don't think so.

Hey what the heck else you go to do that time of day. If you give it a try you will pick up something you didn't know before

In the end it's worth the work makes life much more enjoyable.

Me it's ride time when seaon is over I will start agian. But I;m working on readin adn writing these days. Boy wish I could remember all those words Jam Mai Dai

Anxiously awaiting the opening of an AUA course in Nong Khai.

I studied eight months in Udon... '06-'07. Being a romantic, insatiable intellectual, I'd enroll in an instant.

Perhaps AUA might consider an Isaan course for those who live here and actually wish to converse with the locals. (yes, the locals speak about 50% Thai.) I'm not suggesting you legitimize a bastardized language, but would you teach a semi-useless language like British English in a civilized country like America? Just wondering.

hi bumper, after the first class me and my mate went to bar and talked about the class and we realy could,nt see it improving ( maybe the lady teacher was just having an off day ).
but i did carry on with the language learning,
i bought 1 of the Isaan thai for beginners course,s from a local bar, you get a well made up and easy to understand book and a 3 hour dvd that follows each page of the book . so when theres somthing i dont understand its no prob to rewind and do that part again .
they course must be for sale in many diffrent bars and it cost me 1000bt for part 1 of 2 parts .
