Would that be Udoners, or Udon Thanians, Udonians, maybe the old English gentman Val could give us the correct English, or get BM option

Stopped by yesterday!very impressed with the owners and the facility.Picked up a book just to be sociable as no need yet and enjoyed my visit.

And a plug for their room rentals is definitely warranted from my observations! They have 2 room rentals available which are OUTSTANDING VALUE at a probable 350 baht a night!Very nice A/C rooms.

I predict the nice relaxed comfortable future for them and their business!

Still in the throws of remodeling and moving in,so it was little hot and humid at the moment, but well worth a visit by everyone interested in books available, the room rentals and the warm welcoming personalities of the owners! =D> =D>

Had no problem picking out four interesting looking books from the shelves and the affable librarian threw in a stack of British tabloid newspapers. Lots of places to park on the street. Will try the coffee next trip.

Are the rooms the pooch-friendly type you're always looking for, Stan? Just the thought of living above a library..... life can be good. :D

How about Udonmen or Udongirls? Nah, Val used the latter in one of his name changes.

Made my first visit today. Was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the shop.
Walked away with books from four of my favorite authors: Michael Connolly, John Lescroat, James Patterson, and John Sandford. :D And...I only had time to peruse about one third of the entire selection of books available.
Looking forward to many future visits.
Good meeting you and talking with you Jeremy. Thanks for filling another of Udon's needs =D> .

Hello Folks :D ,
an update on whats going on here at the BookHouse and Coffee Shop .

in the last few days i,ve taken delivery of a few hundred new and used paperback books to buffer the stock levels . got some great books on Howard Marks .. Howard Marks you may say .. who the hell is that .

reading from the back cover of his auto biography it says -
during the mid 1990,s Howard Marks had 43 aliases , eighty nine phone lines and owned twenty five companies trading throughout the world .

At the height of his career he was smuggling consignments of upto 30 tons of marijuana , and had contact with organisations as diverse M16 , the CIA , the IRA , and the mafia . Following a worldwide operation by the DEA , he was busted and sentenced to 25 years in the Terre Haute Penitentiary , Indiana . he was released after 7 years in April 1995 . Told with humour , charm and candour , Mr Nice is his own extraordinary story .

a man who makes Peter Pan look like a geriatric with sleeping sickness :D

born in the UK and educated in posh public schools .it makes for an interesting read !

The Kitchen is 95% finished here at the BookHouse .

we have a couple of delicious meals on the menu at the moment- :D

Choice pork chop ( thick ! )Pan Fried served with a homemade creamy mushroom sauce , french fries or mashed potatoes and freshly cooked vegetables -

and a Sausage Casserole with mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables .
3 Fatboy English Pork Sausages slow oven baked in a sauce of Onions , Sweet Peppers , and Mushrooms and spices including Paprika , Parsley , Sage , Marjoram and Nutmeg .. creamy mashed potaoes and mixed fresh vegetables ..

had that for my tea last night and its DELICIOUS ! :D

both meals priced at only 160baht .

tonight , Mrs Librarian is gonna try a Avocado and Prawn Salad with a Pan Fried Chicken Breast and warm Lemon Sauce !! .. if its good , that will go on the menu also .

we are now serving Coffee,s ... Lattes , Cappucinos , Flat White ...
and for a limited time .. everyone gets a FREE Coffee of their choice .. just so my fellow Udonites can sample what Italian Coffee tastes like :D

everyday i get sent a few English Newspapers .. today i have .. The Mail , The Sun , The Mirror and the Daily Star which customers can sit on the terrace and have a read .

FREE COFFEE and FREE PAPERS --
