Hi Shado ,
we could box n bag BUT , i,m not sure how the food will travel

Fajitas for example are served on the sizzling dish ( red hot cast iron plate ! ) i,m sure if we simply bagged /boxed everything up it wouldnt be as nice as serving yourself , at your table direct from the sizzling dish .

of course , if you are prepared to take a gamble the food will travel home well , we will gladly cook your order :D

thx

Thanks Librarian. I think the burritos and enchilladas will travel okay, but maybe the tacos and fajitas, not so well.
Agree, all are better served to the table.

All sounds great. Good luck, I doubt you'll need it though.

Jeremy - you really put the effort into your business and I applaud that. Myself, my wife and daughter ate at your place in early to mid August 3 or times and teh food was superb, I really should have made more effort to introduce myself.

I was told about your place by a guy from up north, Chris (a mate of Tafia's), who returned to UK in early Sept. So its thanks to him we found your place.

Looking forward to eating there again in April

Mexican Food - TODAY

Postby Librarian » September 29, 2010, 1:13 pm

if you are planning to come try our Authentic Mexican Food and want to eat inside our aircon restaurant , wait till about 2pm - we have no empty tables inside . ( we do have fan tables outside though !! )

28 meals served in the 1st 1 hour today .. all positive reviews from everyone :D
great value for money , delicious etc etc :D :D
except a few complaints -- TOO MUCH FOOD !!!

we even have some Mexican music playing over our sound system to really set the mood !
gave away FREE Margaritas to the 1st couple of customers that ordered them !

planning on a Free Mexican Meal for 2 for the best Charles Bronson / Mexican Dressed customers as a regular event ;)

and finally , we are working on a Margarita menu .. with about 40 variations to choose from !!

Had the same as Mak, Chicken Enchilladas. Very good indeed. And as usual for me, too much. But taking the leftover home, it will be a nice reminder the next day. Next time I shall try the Fajitas. My compliments to Nok and her staff.

We are really pleased to say , due to the overwhelming success of our Mexican Wednesday , Mexican Food will continue to be freshly prepared and served each and every Wednesday from now on :D
we prepared for 40 , and sold 38 which was OK as we ran out of fresh guacamole anyway . next time i have a feeling it will be busier so we will prepare for 60 so we don't disappoint anyone !

Tomorrow , being Friday 1st, is Friday Pieday here at the Bookhouse - BIG pies + Free Drink , Great Value !!
pies are available every day but the FREE DRINK offer is only for Fridays .

if you dont fancy a Pie tomorrow , we have a Special. A lovely Indian Dish , not too spicy ( had it today for my tea and it was OUTSTANDING ! seriously  . The Bookhouse Chicken Tikka Masala , served with Thai Jasmine Rice & Roti just 219baht - we only have 11 portions left . ( sold a few tonight when we were writing out the specials board ! )

again , thanks to our culinary master friend ( Voldermort , he who we must not name ?? !! :D ) for taking the time and effort to help Mrs L with all things Food . your life time cooking skills are greatly appreciated , as is your friendship .

see you soon

Librarian - ( posting on behalf of Mrs L and the rest of Team Bookhouse !! ;) )

i still chuckle every time i write Bookhouse .. reminds me of a post someone made early on in this thread , ( and took me a while to figure out the meaning ?? ) .. someone said lucky we were not selling sanitary ware ! :-"

Turkey -
went to restock on my Turkeys ( got 1 left for this Sunday :D ) only to find there is a 25% increase in cost  .
i bought 30 before to get an exceptional price , which we have been using for our 195 Baht Sunday Roasts .
the choice i have , bearing in mind i wish to continue offering a FREE DRINK with the meal is either ,
Stop selling Turkey and change to Chicken Breast , along with our Pork and Roast Beef and keep the price the same
Or increase the price of the Turkey from 195 to 230`baht , including a FREE DRINK .

choice is yours folks
Chicken or Price Increase on the Turkey :-k

your thoughts are invited :D

Turkey and add on the price, U can buy chicken anywhere and cook it at home, turkey u have to buy it by the KG and not worth the mucking around , with all the left overs for the next 3-4 days.

Why dont u start up a poll and let that assist u ??

Im sure u will track any trends there ???

I agree with wazza, most people who partake of your Sunday fare would probably agree that having the choice of all 3 meats on your plate for a sunday lunch is very nice but as with everything in life prices increase and have to be absorbed somewhere,if the price goes up for 1 it goes up for all.I would be more than happy to pay the extra as i find it very good value for money, but my wife will still probably have the bloody Fish and chip or polk chop

Can punters still have the option with the turkey of some pork and beef too?(nid noi of each?)
cheers Johnty.
