Hope that isn't too difficult for you to understand.

Well, you see (hopefully) that was not the case so you can stop trying to find excuses for the rudeness of the Thai couple. Especially as you were not there at the time.
Another angle of this is if a customer orders something to be picked up the next morning but fails to do so, the producerr is free to sell it the day after. This is a question of making a verbal contract. You order something to be made and to be picked up at a certain time. If you don't, then you have not fulfilled your part of the contract and the other party can try and regain some of his costs by selling to someone else.

Good God...! all over a loaf of bread... one more example of a "Grumpy" falang spitting his dummy...

as always no disrespect intended....!

Yes Saboo, exactly what I was thinking, to much time can be a dangerous thing, the brain needs meaningfull stimulation otherwise a loaf of bread can consume your day.
Maybe the Thai couple had just had a blu, or woke up with the s--ts as we all do at times.
There really are some boring topics at times on UM, a bit of humor goes a long way.
I get pi--ed off 20 times each day with the Thai's at work but I wouldnt call it good reading for UM members if I chose to write about it. Cheers...

I was sharing a negative experience. I don't know what connection you have with the establishment that makes you try and defend their doing. But if you had any guts, you would have made clear that you are acting on their behalf.
As for your last remark, well coming from someone with apparent limited mental means, it could be expected although not wanted. I have told about our experience with CL and do not intend to go into any further discussion with anyone who has nothing to do with it.

In past 2-3 months CL became one of our favorite places to eat, that includes 2, 4, 33 nd 51 year olds, both Thai and western! Great quality and value, decent clean aircon atmosphere, easy parking right outside, and in my opinion after more than a dozen visits, very friendly service.

My wife likes bread, however if she orders dishes that do not include bread, and tries to simply order an extra bread, it has been politely explained to us they must reserve the bread for A) patrons ordering dishes that include bread and B) for patrons that ordered in advance their bread for take away. This is so they do not run out. Seems reasonable to me.

Bloody hell JR, you are one p--sed camper, I have no connection with the establishment, if I did act on somebodys behalf I would say so, why not? Ive got plenty of guts, Im a fat bastard and with my limited mental means I still no the way to the airport and how to catch a plane, which if I was as sour as you sound would return home, get a life!!!

Try this exercise JR, get a tape measure, if you expect to live to 80, mark 80cm, then mark your present age, then see what you've got left, it goes to quick mate......

To answer my own question "burger update?", I went today with a friend. We both had burgers, me with fries, he with cheese and bacon. We returned empty plates to the kitchen. They both passed the taste test and we didn't have to fight with anyone for the bread or good service.

Thats great JR. I have a suggestion, why dont you go back to the City Lodge and tell the Thai couple that were running the place at the time what you have said above. Let us know how that works out for you :D

Well, judging by your "suggestion" there is as much sense listening to you as there is trying to talk to the Thai couple in question.
