The Edit Icon

The Edit icon has vanished on the thread replies. Has it gone for good or is it a glitch? :-k

I believe that a poster may edit his own post for a certain amount of time westerby - to correct any errors he has made in it, after that it is "set in stone"...

Yes that's correct. There's a 10 minute edit time and when this has elapsed it's no longer possible to edit the post.

OK, so I'll post a reply now and see if the Edit icon pops up. Is this 10 minute addition new or has it always been like this?
Edit: oh yes, I see it now. Didn't know my mind worked so fast to get my changes within the 10 minutes frame.

it does work westers..i just did it on the venomous snakes of Udon thread.(also above post to yours..just got in with-in the 10 mins)....and last night i went to edit a post but couldn't do it, now i know why it helps save brain power a little thinking whats gone wong.

Lee, has advised you of the situation. There is, and has been a 10 minute time limit for some time.
