The farmer's son

Postby AZscott » December 18, 2006, 11:29 pm

Hi to everyone. I have been reading your posts for ayear now and thought it was time to sign up. I appreciate all of your humor and help. I have visited Udon 4 times now and am in love with a young man from Kumhawpi. :o We were married (although not legal) in a ceremony in the village this past September. He is a wonderful person and as a gay man I am accepted by his family and others. I am 46 and he is 26. I am hoping to correspond with some folks who can assist me with cultural learning. As many of the people say, just when I think I have it figured out..I realize I don;t understand at all. :? I will be in Udon for Songkran festival would like nothing better than meet for a beer. My name is Scott and I live in Arizona USA. Soon I will live with my Thai husband in the Udon area. I just wanted to be up front with the gay issue although it has nothing to do with wanting to meet some farangs for friends. Thanks! :o

Well, I'm putting my damn nail polish back in the closet :D Green sparkle in case you want to borrow. :D

Welcome to the forum, all welcome of course. If we can deal with Cliff, we are tolerant to anyone. :D We just got some farang ladies for a different perspective, now going one step further. By the time we are done I may eventually be politically correct and never offend anyone. Nah, I doubt it. If we ever all get together, all genders and preference of which, it could be a battle for sitting on which side of the benchs at the night market. :D :D :D But I guess plenty of eye candy or candette for everyone.

Again, welcome. :D

Damn, I wonder if I'll still be the handsomess one at the meetings now............mirror mirror?

Thank you to everyone for the welcome! I have been to Thailand 5 times ( 3 times in 2006) and will return in April for Songkran Festival and to open our market near Kumphawapi. I live in Phoenix, Arizona where it is a dry desert and quite different than LOS. I call Thailand everyday and miss being there so much. I lived in the village for 2 months and was accepted just fine. When our little market opens we are having a huge party with Isaan dancing and lots of food and drink. I hope I can get to know some of you and have you stop by and join us . Bye for now.
