the smiles wipe out everything I typed

Postby ting_tong » February 23, 2009, 11:56 am

the smiles wipe out everything I typed, and the page is changed back to the forum index.

It has happened several times, so if I add those things on the right side, I have to use ctrl + a, then ctrl + c to save everything I typed

must be a software bug? (manually typed)

All fine here as well ting_tong \:D/ , it sounds like you are using a very old version of internet explorer, maybe version 4 or 5 which used to refresh the page when smilies were clicked on instead of just adding the code for the smiley...

I think a browser upgrade should fix the problem.

Try signing up on khonkaenmap.com phpbb forum and see if you get the same problem.

Also Check your browser settings in IE. This sounds like an issue with the browser itself rather than your computer or phpbb forum.

OK I see what your problem is. Your browser security settings are too high. Try setting to default (medium/high) and you will then be able to use this function again.

I learned that one when I did some internet business with someone (ebay), they wanted to see proof that I was not lying! The guy had many people try to pull a fast one on him and get a refund for his phone unlocking service, so to get a refund, you have to make a video and prove you are right : )
