Royal Project Shop, lower level at Central. Jalapeno peppers (8 to the package) = ฿25. Passion fruit (about 18 fruits per sack) = ฿50.

Incidental comment: My wife loves passion fruit. For whatever reason she calls them "fashion food" and pays no attention to me when I try to correct her. I give up. At our house they are fashion food. Does have sort of a ring to it.

No pics am afraid Timmy as not seen any around town.used to be some at Chernchim and at the supermarket in Landmark but from what I remember they were discounted because expiry dates were coming up 8) Would like to see 75g packs for Walkers as the smaller ones struggle to have many crisps in them :D

Just done a quick google of grab bags DM,says they are about 50g so 2/3rds the weight of Lays, does that mean that the 50g bags are selling at under 29 baht or about 19 baht meaning if they were 75g they would still be cheaper :-k A tad confusing when they are not the same weight and the claim they are cheaper :D 8)

It is obviously capsicum maturing time in Thailand at the moment.

A bag of 6 large peppers (2 green, 2 yellow, 2 red) in a see through plastic bag at The Royal Project Shop were marked at 80 baht. When I got to the counter & the bag was scanned I was charged 60 baht. 10 baht each for large peppers.

While strolling around Topps later I noticed that they were selling 2 red peppers for 55 baht (labelled as sourced from the Royal Farm Project)

Thanks Bob, got some of these plus fresh jalapenos just 25 baht for a large pack (10-12pcs). Canned and pickled are a good back up, but always nice to have fresh when available!

Was at Makro this morning and noticed a section in the International Foods area that had a pretty good supply of dry pulses. Included were several kinds of dal (lentils) Black-eyed Peas, Pinto and Kidney beans, Chick Peas (Garbanzo beans), Flax seed and Pearl barley. They had 5 kg bags of Basmati rice for about ฿100 / kg. I also found Besan (gram/chickpea) flour. For anyone who likes to cook Indian recipes there are, at least, a few ingredients available.

Thanks for the info on the dal Shado.
Topps also have a great supply of pulses, but no lentils. I bring back red with me from the UK & buy the green in tins (which is not the best way to buy anything :D ) so i will pop in & have a look when i can..

Bob, the pulses are located at the end of the aisle in the international foods section. They are actually in a short display that runs perpendicular to the shelves along the main aisles.
