Can anyone tell me how to make Thunderbird open email messages in a new window rather than a new tab.

Just started using T/bird so getting used to it.

Right click the relevant message - "Open in a New Window" is one of the options. :D

What about having it open the messages in a new window as default?

Hi, I use TBird as a secondary mail, it's worked fine for 2/3 years. A few months ago it stopped transmitting sent mail.
It shows mail sent, but recipient does not receive.
Tried many test mails to friends/self, says sent, but not received at destination.

Had TTT here 3 times, last time guy was here with his laptop fooling around all friggin day, Thais working on your puter is scary, they always seem to frig it up one way or another. I have a newer HP, w/max power.
Anyway, after hours of work, my wife tells me he's taking everything out of my desktop and putting it into his laptop, I couldn't understand/believe it, until I saw he was downloading Docs & files. I said Whoa, no way your doing that.
He left, fixed nothing, messed up a few things.

OK, back to TBird not transmitting, any one of you fellas have a clue as to why this no transmission of sent mails is occurring?

Would truly appreciate some help.

Doc, not sure if this will help but TW had problem with out going mail, taking 20 to 30 minutes to send, had her delete all mail (over 100) in sent box and all junk from in box and trash. This helped a lot. Not sure if will help you though.

Hi, Stantheman,

Thanks for your input, appreciated.
Before deleting many important mails, just for sh-t and giggles I tried sending test mails from TBird to my other mail provider, and surprisingly it worked.

The only thing I've changed recently was upgrade to premium account, (800 to 1,200B), per month.
Don't know if that cured the problem or it somehow was cured by TBird.

In any case, thanks again, Stantheman, have a great day...

My best,
Doc
