Top Mansion opinions?

Post by J » July 25, 2006, 5:42 am

Top Mansion

http://www.udonmap.com/topmansion/

Map @ http://www.udonmap.com/topmansion/map.htm

They seem to look OK on the website.
They quoted me 310 Baht / night for 1 room, A/C, warm water,TV, cable tv 60 channels & Refrigerator.

I am going with my 55 year old father. I just want a nice central location within walking distance of most things downtown.

:?: Any thoughts or experiences? :?:

J, Top mansion, is certainly withing 5 minutes walk of the shopping centre and town centre attractions such as bars. It's in what is in effect a back street. I've never actually stayed there, as it has always been full whenever I've tried, but it looks well organised clean and tidy. Certainly no swimming pool though.

Stayed there many times when I've over indulged. Very clean, no bad comments , except nowadays seems must book in advance.

Also stayed at top mansion many times for the same reason, avoid driving under influence, no complaints.

Home cable tv has limited channels but has a few news, european football and 1 movie channel.

Wow - So you think in your opinion that for a first timer in Udon that the Top Mansion would be OK?

I looked at the website and map and the Top Mansion looked good.

Thanks for your opinions,
J

in my opinion (speaking from my experience) top mansion is definitely a better choice.

*paid only 270 baht per night
*friendly and cute staff
*has computer/internet room
*if you like larb, across the street there's a hole in the wall restaurant that makes the best duck larb
*room/bathroom clean
*updated tv and refrig
*samlor, tuktuk, and taxi park alongside of the road
*laundry across the street
*close to most places

I stayed in the Top Mansion for a while. The rooms were clean and the staff were nice enough.
Life's a beach.
