Yea, I have time on my hands out here in BFE Issan. I was going to use D&D help teach English to the kids but their English skills are not up to it right now but give me a few years with them... My years of playing D&D has actually helped in my new teaching career here in LOS. As many will tell you that most of the job here for an English teacher is an entertainer more than an educator. So D&D has helped with my acting and voice skills to help these kids to learn English in the Thai way of having fun while learning. Happy to say my "kids" have been winning English speaking school contests out here so I'm happy and so is the school.
Not to hijack the thread any further I hope there are some other D&D player hiding out here in Issan. When I took my TEFL course in Khon Kaen there was an Aussie guy who played D&D. Right before we were to start a game he had to leave for home due to the case he found out the has a dangerous heart condition and he was only in his late 20's
