Change on TACO PLACE move

Postby Pakawala » August 15, 2006, 9:45 pm

As mentioned earlier, TACO PLACE will soon be moving to its new location, downtown, but due to popular request, our OPENING DAY FREE BUFFET will be changed so accommodate a larger group of customers. We will have the FREE BUFFET from 6 to 8 PM rather than lunchtime. Please help us spread the word because EVERYONE is invited. Our doors will open for business at 11 AM on Friday, 1 Sept., but the buffet won't start until later to allow us to prepare the menu. Our address is 19/3 Jamnasorn Rd. between Clock Circle and Robinsons on Prajack Rd., next to Bon Cafe.

Hey Lee, that's a swell job you did on putting us 'on the map'. I managed to draw a map with one of my graphics programs but didn't know how to transfer it to this blog page.

Thanks for the help.

AussieBoy, we look forward to having you join us at our FREE FEED. I'd like the chance to put as many 'faces' to 'user-names' as possible.

I have my own avitar photo but don't know how to get it down to the minimum size required so I can place it on my profile page. I've got several graphics and photo programs, any of which I'm sure would be able to handle the task... I'm just too dumb to understand how. Any help offered would be appreciated. The photo is currently at 72K.

That's an easy one. Do you have photoshop on your computer? If so, open your picture in that program, select the crop tool and enter 100px in width and height. Go to your picture and drag the crop tool around your photo and tick ok. Next go to save for web and select jpeg medium or high. This should give you something about 5k in size.

BKKSTAN, it was so easy I was embarrassed I had to ask. Just open Photoshop first then under the FILE menu, select OPEN... and it will give you a choice of files to open.

Good luck.

I must admit, jingjai, we had a few more people than I'd expected but all seemed to have a good time. At one point I had to run out and purchase 20 more chairs! Seems the original 32 weren't enough. It was fun seeing and greeting so many folks at what we feared might be a complete bust. I didn't get to leave 'til 12:45 AM and poor Tu never did come home. Ended up staying on a cot upstairs (with the mosquitoes). Anyway, thank you to everyone for helping us with the opening.

Too late to get a rain check, eh Pakawala? Oh well, from what folks are saying about your new place and the handy map reference here, it will be high on our list when we return to Udon in a few weeks. Keep packing 'em in. A frozen Margarita for me, please.
