Any Mobile Phone Guru's Out There?

Postby Kudjap or Bust » August 30, 2006, 12:48 pm

I've just been told that when people call my mobile number they don't get a ringing tone they get some Thai rock music playing. This has caused more than one person to cancel the call....

Does anyone know why / how this has happened? And more to the point how can I get it back to normal again....?

I've also found that my voicemail isn't working and callers get "cannot conect at this time" if the phone is busy, unavailable (no signal) or no answer.

I've checked the phone and all the settings are correct for divert on busy, unavailable and no answer and the voicemail server number is correct.............as long as DTAC haven't changed it of course, better check that.

Oh, I use DTAC pay as you go..........Tried calling DTAC, some poor girlie didn't have a clue so I gave up.

Easy, ring*789 listen for commands including English version. You can change the song or delete completely. You do realise the music is a subscription service, they deduct 15bht off your card every month.

Can't help you with voice mail I'm afreaid.

Val, tried the *789 to delete the music service but there's no option for English language, any ideas or shall I wait til the wife gets home and get some translation. Mind you with all this rain she'll be some time getting from the market to home on the motorbike.............guarantee she'll stop off at the manicure shop for an hour or so.

OK no probs, all sorted.
Had a call from a nice young girlie at DTAC. She canelled the music service and re-activated the voicemail. Seems the music service de-activates voicemail.......thats what I get for leaving the phone with the kids for a couple of days

Sorry Kudjup, I should have course warned you the operator will ask you to press 1 if you want English, but of course with typical Thai logic she will ask you speaking Thai.So for the benefit of anyone else wanting to access this service, press 1 as soon as the operator answers.TIT
