highway 210 then the 201 in to loei ,around 1 hour drive.

the best way for me would be driving yourself.
cost for car and driver ??? not sure.

Thanks Monkey,

What is the best form of transportation? Mini Bus, local bus? Any idea of the cost?

BTW, I see flights on Asia Air from BKK to Udon for 99 baht plus the extra stuff. It's still about 17 USD's one way. 8)

around 1 hour drive

i hope you wear your seat belt  book says 152 kms, road is 2 lane ant many spots w/construction on hills. lucky if you can average 80 kph. allow 2, at least.

newer blue gov't bus would be cheap and comfortable, a bit longer. fly, fast and expensive. self drive, just gas if your car.

Just one canister of Bundy Rum, doesn't break in metal, stopped at Nong bau Lom phu 7 eleven, locals had a little tea party going, Farang Farang, come here, ok over I go, Sit down please, , where you from where you go, Pull out the rum and have a chat, just love this place, so friendly, swap phone numbers with 2 of the loveies, one gets on bike with me for trip to loie, stay hotel grand 1 night, she wants me to give her a service, Har baht I say she laughs, so I give her and Aussie service with grease and oil change, drop her back to 7 eleven on way home next day, Now she wants to come Udon, Next Time

OK I'll get a photo, of my little red wagon, not complete yet, cost 4000 B to date with about another 4000 to complete, finished road testing the design, some changes to the spring, make each wheel independant, better road handling, and lengthen the draw bar for better anti sway, other than that at 80K it goes fine, have the double action tie rod end to connect to bike, it tracks very good with the big wheels good moveability, the lights give the thais a laugh have the little blue side lights and clearence lights, as well as turn and stop.

Done 1000 k in 4 weeks, now for the final build and paint job, weights 35 kilo empty, carry up to 40 k with books and training gear, makes for good first lesson when I visit the village schools, with all the different designs you see here tuk tuk side cars ETC, most asked question, why have behind, why not like side car food van have on side, Because can take off easy, get through traffic easy as it is norrow. they think look and then say GOOD GOOD

Iam thinking about getting one of those 250cc bikes chopper looking type, but I like the easy and light scooter , I happy to sit on 70 k with the trailer on the open road, Might buy a yamaha 135 new model bright yellow best colour to be seen on road with, the trailer was built next to the Koala pub bar in bike repair shop

You mean like coming across some bloke on an excercise bike... knees acting like fiddlers elbows, nuts in a knot, trying to escape a police road block?
