Fed up of people copying our work

Lee, have volunteers go to airport when flights come in, and hand out the maps to falangs coming off the flights. It would be kinda like a welcome commity, kinda sorta. Would like that would put a damper in the selling of maps copied from udonmap.com.

Good idea.

Actually we were thinking of making a stand and displaying it in the arrivals hall next to the baggage claim area. I think most people arrive by plane so this would make sure it was available to all people arriving at Udon airport daily.

The biggest challenge would be convincing the airport to let us do it. They don't allow us to display the map on the information counter; it's always hidden under the desk.

If anyone knows someone working at the airport please let me know, maybe we can convince them that it would be a good idea. Thanks.

Lee, I buy a great deal of print in my current position, and one thing that occurred to me when I received my first paper copy of Udonmap was the quality of the paper -- quite heavy and glossy.

The advantage to this is that that the map holds up quite well over time. The disadvantage, of course, is that it is considerably more expensive to print.

Since a number of visitors need the map only for a limited period of time, would it make more sense to print on a thinner weight paper with a matte rather than glossy finish? Don't know how much difference it would make on 5,000 copies in Thailand, but it would be a considerable savings based on U.S. costs.

We did experiment with lighter weight paper for a couple of editions but to be honest there wasn't much difference in price so we decided to stay with the heavier weight paper.

We haven't researched matt paper yet, but this is something to consider for future editions if the price of printing continues to rise.
