VPN connection to watch sports online


! was reading ,somewhere, about the ability to watch sports online through using a VPN.Anyone have any experience?

You can use a VPN to convince a web site that you are in a country other than the one that you are in.
So, for example, if there is a site showing live American sport that only allowed you to watch it if you were physically in America then you could use a VPN to convince the site that you were, while still being in Thailand.

Most of the better (American) live sports sites are 'pay to view' so you would probably need a USA address on a credit/debit card as well as a VPN to watch it - unless they accepted something like PayPal..

You really need to be a bit more specific about what you are wanting to watch Stan. I am sure that someone can then point you in the correct direction..

Thanks Bob.I have American sports on UBC,I am trying to get EPL online.I tried to connect to UKVPN.NewFreeVPN.COM,
I tried to connect several times,kept getting "connection failed with error 868".
"The remote connection was not made because the name of the remote access server did not resolve"

Why do you need a VPN connection, you do not. I work and travel around the world and use www.myiplayer.com search on google. I am in the Dominican republic at the moment and have just watched Moto GP and F1 on myiplayer.

Been using 365 sports for the 1st few EPL games, excellent quality but decision time coming up.
