Just coming from Nong Prajak past Bubbahs and heading towards the town hall,post office area.
The town hall road is closed,about 20 police in riot gear,helmets shields etc.....at the Nong Prajak end.
Couldnt see exactly what was going on but there seemed to be some sort of gathering further up,opposite the town hall and post office.
Traffic was snarled up and very bad,so try to avoid this area if you can.
Yellow shirt protest maybe ??

Heading in to town in about an hour and don't know areas and street names to well.

Is that near to the back entrance for immigration? Same road as large square for fairs and exhibitions and most importantly near my nearest Pizza Hut

The immigration place and Pizza Co are on Phosi road,I think ?
This is the road higher up,Wattana Road heading towards Nong Prajak.
But not too far from where they hold the exhibitions etc....Thungsim ??......so if you go that area I'd maybe park near or at Ban Chiang hotel and walk to Pizza Co....5 mins.

Yes the Town Hall is in Wattana Nuwong Road, as well as the main Post Office.

We were at Ban Hui market....about 1pm........traffic backed up big time....but not from the fair grounds........red shirt folks holding a protest. We managed to duck out through some alleys and avoided the traffic jams.

Sigh!

Could be nation wide, ---- happening in Phuket as well.
