Was always only going to be a matter of time before the crunch came, will this now be the incentive they need to investigate further afield?.... only time will tell.

This "visa scam" has been going on for years, and by many different agents. One use to be run out of a bar in Nong Kai a few years back.

Allen Patterson, owned and operated bar/guest house, believe the name was the Meeting Place back in the mid to late 90's

I stayed at and got a visa to go to Laos from Allen at the meeting place around 1995. Loveable rogue. All cloke and daggers and sealed envelopes and ask too see Mr Phongsavan at immigration.
I thought it was exciting and adventurous at the time.
