RON CELL in Khon Kaen hospital

Long time Udon resident, Vietnam vet, and former local VFW Commander Ron Cell is in the biggest fight of his life. He undergoes major abdominal surgery tomorrow in Khon Kaen University hospital. If you're in the area in the next few days drop in to see him. If not keep him in your thoughts tomorrow. His wife is there with him.

Best wishes and prayers are with you Ron. You have a great attitude and that will help you a lot.

I hope some guys can come visit you next week when you are feeling better.

There seems to be some confusion, the name is Sell and he apparently also goes by James or maybe that is is legal surname. If inquiring for him try both. KKU Hospital seems to be the location.

Thanks for the correction. I knew the right name but for some reason misspelled it here. I spoke to him late yesterday afternoon and he was in good spirits.

I saw Ron last week and he said he'd be in Srinakarin Hospital....which is the University Hospital. It's one gigantic place.....if someone has his wife's phone number, maybe they can get a tracer on what room he's in.

Ron is out of ICU and back in his private room, a very good sign. Still don't have a room number.

Just talked to Ron today. He is doing really well. Best of all, his attitude and spirits are superb. He got an infection while in the hospital, so he will be there for a few more days. His wife is with him taking care of things. He will be back at his house in Udon when the doctors say he can leave the hospital, then back to Laos later on in June.

He said he hopes to be at the next VFW meeting. I know many guys will be glad to see Ron. Give him a call if anyone gets the opportunity. I think he would appreciate the contact.
