Farang arrested in soy sampan

Rumor is that yesterday a farang was arrested in a bar in soy sampan.

Rumors are that he would have killed a woman elsewhere and then fled to Udon.

Fact is that someone was arrested yesterday.

Anyone hear about this?

No but I love a good rumour. Let's hear some more. Any witnesses to the arrest? What bar? Bahn_nok your post is bit of a tease. What do you know?

If there's a conspiracy involved maaka will want to chase this through to the end. However if the bogan arrested was an Aussie rock musician Wazza will be all over this thread. And if someone got killed after a heated discussion about climate change, Detective Ronan Denialist will lead the investigation.

Have checked Facebook udonupdate and Facebook udonnews alongwith muang udon police website but nothing yet,maybe Home news if it is back online tonight

Was reported on channel 3 that an American was arrested in Udon Thani for killing his wife.

NO, that was part of the OP's initial post...rumor.

News report indicated the wife was murdered, I believe the report also said she was young, age 19. The offender did a runner and police caught up with him here in Udon. I got the impression the murder wasn't recent, because the guy was here working as a teacher (possibly an English teacher). A video was shown of the arrest, the guy appeared to be hand cuffed and looking down, avoiding the camera.

It was a breaking news bit in between my wife's soap...I barley got a glimpse of the guy and my wife related the bits of info from the report.

Got the same here papa, but I did get a quick look. The guy was gray haired and looked to be in his 50's or 60's

He reminded me of a Scandinavian dude that played in the pool league. In fact I thought it was him until my wife said it was reported the offender was American.

If the Thai wife was only 19 she was barely an adult. Only a moron would not realize a female this age is going to act like a kid. She'll do stupid things. Knowing that, why get too upset if it turns pear shaped? Some of us farang are really really stupid.

She wasn't an ADULT .... she was 19 not 20
She would have still needed her mothers permission to get married, and was not old enough to enter a nightclub

How do you know anything about her? So in your opinion she deserved to die? Think everyone needs more facts before making judgement.
