I don`t have True, but 3BB.
I pay for 13mb, but have from 15,7 to 17,6 down and 0,97 to 1,05 up on these 2 speed test:
http://speedtest.3bb.co.th/
http://www.speedtest.net/
I checked twice on both tests within a few minutes, and both varied within the speed mentioned above.

Yes there are certainly some reasonable results there.
Which makes it all the more puzzling why it is taking so long to connect to certain web sites.
The opening of web pages has certainly deteriorated in the 3 weeks I have been in Vietnam.
I was so disgusted with it when I opened up on return that I was convinced that I must have a virus.
A full scan by Malwarebytes revealed absolutely zero.
My far smarter than me friends who live abroad suggested to me that probably, if he was still working, Mr. Snowden might well have had something to contribute about this enigma..
Probably best not to say more on that front in a public forum though..
The old 'Vietnam underwater cable broken' is just a useful excuse Alberto. While true, it happened at least 6 months ago & poor service because of it should be getting better as alternative routes were used, not worse..

testmy.net will give a more realistic result, as it actually tests from overseas based servers.GARYZX6R wrote:Just done mine with 3 bb and a staggering 2 Mpbs . with testmynet

Whereas Speedtest will test from Bangkok servers, using cached data.
I have just installed True cable (DOCSIS 3, 18/2 Gbps) - TBH799/month + VAT - as a replacement for my ToT ADSL 10/.512 - TBH560/month + VAT.
At this stage, I wish I hadn't bothered. Very little difference in download speeds, uploads are a lot better. Which is only good news for the leechers on the receiving end of my downloaded torrents.

Thats what I thought JACK with testmy net. With 3bb you cant even stream football matches on Saturday night the DL speed is so slow.jackspratt wrote:testmy.net will give a more realistic result, as it actually tests from overseas based servers.GARYZX6R wrote:Just done mine with 3 bb and a staggering 2 Mpbs . with testmynet
