Virus Warning!

Post by BigBubba » October 26, 2014, 4:42 pm

For the last few days I have had to run several virus scans because my wife visited a Thai online shopping service called "Lazada". Avast has done a good job of alerting, and removing, but STILL the popups seem to inadvertently appear. I found an "extension" on Chrome labeled "Advance Elite" and removed it and that has solved the problem, for now.

Every day I wake up is a good day.

Next big job, and most difficult, is to try and get your wife not to go online shopping :-)

Yes I also had Lazada keep popping up various sites!
There is a round icon in the corner. If click it,options come up. Click "OPT OUT"
but I still get small pop ups appearing odd times

My POP UP option is on. But still get these annoying ads

and that's why we have separate laptops and she doesn't have my password.
Use the net after TW been surfing and it's a mare.
If a big red flashing sign came up warn her of a dodgy site it just wouldn't register.

Least that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it :D :D :D :D

Adblocker stops ads effectively.

My friend has just bought a Mac Book through Lazada but hasn't used it yet as he is still offshore. I wonder if this virus comes pre-loaded?
