How diverse are your family with regards to Football

After closely watching the results, it got me thinking where my immediate family loyalties lie with regards to the clubs they support. Thought it may raise a few eyebrow's when/or if other members list theirs. For starters mine are.

Mother - none (Tennis)
Father - Motherwell
Brother - Hibs (?) ](*,) and Newcastle
Me - obvious - Rangers and Newcastle and Hamburg in Germany
Estranged - Liverpool
Daughter - Rangers and Man Utd (?) ](*,) - well she was born in Surrey
Stepson - Arsenal and Rangers

At least I've managed to half educate, or is that brainwash, some of them.

Entire family support The Lads. I've suffered long enough so I've made damn sure my kids and grandkids suffer as well. My old man was luckier than me as he started going to Roker Park in 20s (as a kid) & 30s (as a nutcase). Rumour has it we were good in them days.

I also can't understand why anyone would want to support more than 1 team, even in a different league, and especially when the 2nd team is the Mags. Strange pair these Socksy brothers :D

Not so strange botaknh. When I couldn't get Rangers tickets and he couldn't get Hibs one's we regularly went on the train to watch Toon at SJP. On the train at Edinburgh Waverley 0900 hours and off at Newcastle just before opening time at Newcastle. Went along with some Hearts supporters as well and when the train arrived at Edinburgh from Glasgow there was often a bunch on their way to Elland Road and never any trouble. My mate in Guildford goes to watch Chelsea, as well as Ross County in Dingwall - the most northerly Football League team in the UK. I also follow two RU teams - Edinburgh and London Scottish. I agree with you 50% on saying strange socksy brothers. I think he must have been deranged when he wanted to support the Pope's second eleven, and even more deranged to continue doing so.

Mother = none
Father = Manchester City and Macclesfield Town
Brother = Manchester City and Macclesfield Town
Uncle = Manchester United and Stockport County
ex wife (UK) = Manchester United......about the only decent thing about the slapper ! =;
Wife (Thailand) = Manchester United
Wife (Thailand) 2 sons =.....Manchester United......about the only good things to be said about them ! =;
Me = Manchester United and Macclesfield Town

As a boy I was "spoiled" by the family taking me to Old Trafford,Maine Road,Moss Rose and Edgeley Park.
Even though Citeh had the likes of Doyle,Summerbee,Lee and Bell playing for them then,I decided to choose the more humble club,United for my allegiance ! 8)

Your daughter seems reasonably well balanced,socksy.She'll soon get this "Rangers" rubbish out of her system.Youngsters do tend to be rebellious ! ;)

Grandpa - Footscray
Grandma -Footscray
Pop - Footscray
Nana -Footscray (Nana and pop were both at the 1954 GrandFinal)
Dad - Footscray (played a season in the reserves in 1953)
Mum-Footscray (Mum and dad though not together at the time were both at the 1954 Grandfinal)
Brothers 2 - Footscray (6 kids between them Footscray)
Sister - Footscray (Her kids (4) barrack for Richmond so they get nothing from me)
Wife - 'Why do they fight for the ball all the time?'
Six week old son may just be dragged off to the Western Oval this Saturday afternoon for a warm up game against Richmond, he'll not have a choice.
Carn the Scray.....

England - West Bromwich Albion
Scotland - Albion Rovers
I grew up and still live in the suburb of Albion in Melbourne's west. When I was a kid the park at the end of the street I grew up in, Selwyn Park, was the home ground of Albion Rovers in the Melbourne Football/Soccer competition. Some of Melbourne's Scottish community used to get on the piss and sing all afternoon at home games in the 1970s - was great entertainment for a kid and is where my love of the round ball game comes from.

Hardly surprising I got off the trains at Newcastle and never continued my onward journey's to see the Mackem's. My 1.5 to 1.75 minutes on the train were far more exciting than MOTD highlights from the Stadium of nonsense at the weekend. All it amounted to was one chalked off goal. #-o
