Weather in Udon Thani in June - August

Hey guys..

Since I am going to stay in Udon Thani from June to August. I like to check if how wet the rainy season would be during June to August. Does the rain occur during a particular time of the day and how long does it last on average.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

thanks thanks.. just wondering... does it rain a long time like 3 or 4 hours or heavy shower of 30minutes?

Can be either. If a front moves in it may rain for a couple of days. During the rainy season we often get the big thunder storms at night.

Rainy season is sort of like winter in New England.......it can be unpredictable. That said, we rarely find the rain interferes with what we want to do during the regular course of a day. It seems the rain comes down for a reasonably short time, then it stops.
But there are times, though not many, when it seems like the rain doesn't stop for a few days....not necessarily hard rain, but enough to interfere with drying the clothes on an outdoor line.
In the big scheme of things, we enjoy the rainy season because the temps tend to be cooler, the air is cleaner, and we aren't deterred from going to town or elsewhere because of the weather.
