Transport from Airport to Hotel

Postby Pancho » September 24, 2007, 2:13 am

What available means of transportation is there to a hotel near Robinson? I see an advertisement for JTaxi for 250B. You can go a long ways for that amount in BKK. Are taxis that expensive in UT? Are motorized samlors available at the airport and how much should I expect to pay? I flew into UT several years ago and caught a free shuttle to Charoensri Grand.

The shuttle bus 'Limo' from airport into town.
to get a samlaw you would have to walk with your luggage(not a short walk either especially in the hot midday sun) outside of the airport perimeter to find one, if you are lucky you might see the odd one not advisable, best stick with the shuttle 'Limo' service less than 70 baht tickets available from a kiosk in airport hall also while you are there look out for the 'Udon-map map and the 'New Udon Magazine' from udonmap ,the pick-up stand for the mag + map is located to the right of the "nothing to declare" door.

the 'Limo' is cheap as chips. !!
(Limo is a small bus service , you maybe first to disembark or last, luck of the draw, but at least you get a small tour of the town)

As far as I am aware the Grand still run a 'free' bus service to & from the airport.
You don't, necessarily, have to stop at the Grand 8)

Thank you beer monkey and Bob.

The 70 baht limo sounds like the way to go.

According to another website, the Grand shuttle is free no more. It's now 30 baht.
