svoa laptops

Postby dkcr_hello » October 29, 2007, 2:36 pm

Hi

I am looking to get a budget laptop and thinking of buying it in Thailand, as this is where it will be used.

I was looking at the Tesco-Lotus web site and they have a promotion on svoa laptops, dose any one have any experience with this brand, are they reliable, any reviews of the models?.

Thanks

Don't know a lot about this brand. What kind of spec do you want? What price range are you thinking of? The cheaper of the two notebooks I seen on their website wasn't that cheap at 29,900 Baht.

I don't know about the laptops but I have had a SVOA desktop for a couple of years now and have never had a hardware problem. I would buy one again without hesitation.
A decent bit of kit for the money IMO.

Same here- have had an SVOA desktop with LCD display for over a year. No problem at all. Haven't heard anything about their portables, though.

Just bought one in Big C last week, a special for 19,900 baht, they threw in a free mouse and a couple of other bits and pieces.

They do feel a little cheap but works very well indeed for the money I parted with...

I would recommend one.

Powerbuy in the complex have an Acer Aspire 4320 on special offer at 21,290 Baht. 512 MB Ram, 120GB HD, Bluetooth, Wireless Lan. Seems like a good price for the spec.

Buy a desktop or laptop, BB? Also, did it come with legal Windows XP, Vista or pirate software?

I bought a desktop at Tohnan Computer in complex last year and, of course, it was loaded with pirated version of XP. I wouldn't recommend this place.

It does not matter where you buy it the software will be pirated.

If memory serves Pop's has to order in genuine stuff from Bangers!

It was a laptop I bought, and like Roy said, they all come with pirated copies, apparently the genuine version can be selected as an upgrade

He started putting Vista on, so I had to intervene and get him to sort me out with XP so at least I can pop an old OEM license on there to get it fully functional...
